GREEK DRESSING & MARINADE

A staple that will transform salads into creations, breads into snacks (dip-dip!), vegetables into a flavor party, and meats into impressive meals. Whip some up and keep it on hand for a condiment you won’t want to be without!

Servings: 1 cup

Prep time: 7 minutes

Cook time: N/A

Skill level: Easy

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tablespoons GREEK SEASONING

  • 2 Tablespoons WATER

  • 2/3 cups OLIVE OIL

  • 1/4 cup BALSAMIC VINEGAR

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a jar with a tight fitting lid.

  2. Use in recipes as salad dressing, marinade, or in recipes such as those suggested in Lamb & Rice (see the notes).

  3. Refrigerate any unused portions. If the oil in the recipe solidifies, simply take out of the refrigerator prior to use to allow it to come to room temperature. The oil will naturally liquify. Shake well before each use.

NOTES/VARIATIONS

  • Substitute red wine, apple cider, or other preferred vinegar to change up the flavor.

  • Make this dressing ahead of time so the flavors have a chance to marry.

  • As articulated in the What’s for Dinner article, always aim for the highest quality ingredients.
