WHAT’S BUGGING YOU? Part 1/7- The Overview

I’d like to think that every article I write is captivating and inestimable (who wouldn’t want their work to earn that distinction?). However, this 7-part series will be one of the more consequential pieces I will ever compose.

What I am bringing to your attention may be provocative to some or seem impossible to others.  Regardless of your initial response, I urge you to push past any cognitive bias, explore this concept, do your own research, and think for yourself. Your openness may be the difference of actualizing vitality for you or a loved one.

I expect this information may both inspire and enrage you. You will see that there can be hope for healing but you will also no doubt come to realize that many countless have suffered and some have died because therapeutics were rebuffed, covered up, or withheld, and those who have tried to highlight them for consideration have been dismissed, ridiculed, demonized, or black listed.

THE ANATOMY OF THIS SERIES

It is best to read through the entire presentation at least once and then use it as a road map and reference for launching additional explorations going forward however, for your convenience, I have linked each installation. This will prove helpful in the event you prefer to skip around, jump ahead, or repeat a segment. Either way, you may wish to bookmark this page.

What’s Bugging You Part 6 - What to Expect
What’s Bugging You Part 7 - Bonus Material: Important Information, References, Resources, & Questions

In each section, I summarize succinctly, upfront, what will be covered. True to my standard writing form, I include links throughout that will explain terminology and allow you to dig deep into heady concepts. The final part (seven) offers a comprehensive, growing list of a vast number of resources to take the subject further. For your convenience, the first 6 parts of this series is available as an e-book, found here. The 7th part remains online only due to periodic updates.

WHY NOW?

Though this storyline is ever evolving, I decided I must not wait for more material to surface and feel compelled to speak to this matter presently. I am also concerned that a number of the links provided will no longer lead to the intended material as it does happen that pages/sites can be mysteriously “404’d” (no longer found) or are impossible to find again.  In fact, if you ever find an article or video that speaks to you, regardless of the focus, I encourage you to download it. Nevertheless, as it is necessary, there may be minor updates to an article such as the addition of a study or reference or the correction of a defunct link. Because of this potential, I recommend checking each section periodically for any new details.

YOUR ROLE

It is ultimately up to you to ask questions, follow this theme, investigate further, go down rabbit holes, consult your trusted health care professional, prayerfully discern, and disseminate. I will know that I did my part in broaching the subject and, by this minimal effort and your action, we might not just change a life but may help to save one.

SO,WHAT EXACTLY IS BUGGING YOU?

In functional methodology, getting to the root cause of a condition is paramount.  Chasing or superficially treating symptoms alone is futile and can have deleterious effects. Functional practitioners always look at the whole person and continue digging until underlying triggers are pinpointed.  Sometimes, the epicenter of dis-ease is not at all where the symptoms are and the path leading to the true source is complex.  Things such as stress, diet, lifestyle, intolerances, allergies, imbalances, contaminated water, environmental toxins, vaccine injury, overuse of X-rays (diagnostic radiation), and emotional health also play a fundamental role.

One initiator or common denominator of infirmity that gets very little attention, especially in developed countries, is parasites. I know that it is hard for some to wrap their head around the notion that the population of an industrialized nation could harbor parasites but the more you learn, the more you will see it is actually quite prevalent – it just isn’t given much attention, especially in mainstream circles.

True, some practitioners in the holistic realm may suggest a parasite cleanse for a certain type of clinical presentation or tell-tale patterns but, surprisingly, many of the protocols remain limited or unintentionally underwhelm the burden.

A critical distinction in this narrative that can’t be emphasized enough is that, even in the absence of a suspected or formally diagnosed parasite infestation, there is unmistakable evidence that anti-parasitics in the form of medicines, foods, supplements, herbs, and other lifestyle actions can also mitigate disease.  Another way to look at this is puzzle - many of the measures taken through diet and lifestyle that have positive effects on reducing symptoms or promoting healing and vivacity, interestingly enough, also have anti-parasitic effects.  Why?

For the record, none of what I am sharing is intended to create paranoia, fuel orthorexia, or turn you into Monk. Instead, it is to inform you, foster a sound awareness and respect of your surroundings, bring hope, and provide tools that will help you flourish. We are a part of a world that is full of all sorts of magnificent organisms, ourselves being fearfully and wonderfully made. It is worthwhile to recognize that we actually need some “dirt” (and bugs) to be healthy.  In fact, you may be perplexed to hear that there is research investigating the presence of select parasites in relation to their potential to ameliorate certain conditions. It’s really all about living in concert - finding balance, making thoughtful decisions about diet, lifestyle, our environment, and understanding that major contributing factors or the primary root cause of many illnesses could very well be addressable, manageable, and even treatable. By doing so, we can support a vibrant life.

Let’s slug this topic out together, shall we?
