WHAT’S BUGGING YOU? Part 4/7 - Anti-parasitics and Our Health

In Part 3 - The Ramifications of Bugs, we gained deeper insight into the consequences of having an infestation of parasites and their bearing on our health. We saw the many symptoms and conditions associated with an overgrowth and we were also introduced to the concept that, even in the absence of parasites, anti-parasitic measures could have a marked benefit to certain conditions. This section will glean the finer points of anti-parasitics - what they are and their potential to improve circumstances. For actionable steps, look to What’s Bugging You? Part 5 - The Action Plan.

WHAT ARE ANTI-PARASITICS?

Anti-parasitics, from a holistic approach, encompass drugs, foods, supplements, herbs, and some lifestyle applications that either directly target and kill parasites or they create an environment that is not conducive to their survival.  Additionally, these modalities are known to act as powerful anti-inflammatories, stimulate autophagy, help restore the micro-biome, disrupt biofilms, and have antioxidant properties.

HOW CAN ANTI-PARASITICS IMPROVE HEALTH?

In connection with parasites, anti-parasitics kill parasites and/or inhibit the growth of bacteria associated with parasite infestations. Eradicating the antagonist and reducing the bacterial overload allows for an environment that supports healing. Even if parasites aren’t the issue, however, anti-parasitics (regardless of their form) can still be an effective treatment for a laundry list of diseases due to their ability to:

Incidentally, viruses, fungal overgrowths, biofilms, and bacterial imbalances can be a precursor, contributor, result, or a cause of a number of diseases (including cancer) and may/may not be associated with parasites (see Part 7 – What’s Bugging You? Bonus Material for reports to this effect). With the benefit of this context, it is important to emphasize that regardless of the presence of parasites in dis-ease, anti-parasitics can ameliorate symptoms and promote healing.

ARE SOME ANTI-PARASITICS BETTER THAN OTHERS?

It depends quite a bit on the type of infestation you are dealing with or what condition you are trying to improve. Irrespective of their discipline, some health care professionals will claim that pharmaceuticals are the only way while others are completely against anything “unnatural” and will only use foods, herbs, supplements, and lifestyle modifications. Realistically, both approaches (either one or the other or a combination) have the capability to elicit either positive or underwhelming effects that is influenced by the nature of the issue, how they are dosed out, and the manner in which they applied. In general, anti-parasitics of any form tend to be well tolerated. It is ultimately between you and your trusted health care provider to design a comprehensive protocol will work best for your unique you that will favorably achieve your specific goals.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN OBTAINING PHARMACEUTICAL ANTI-PARASITICS?

Pharmaceutical treatments for parasites have been available for decades. It might surprise you to learn that this form of therapy is simple, effective, relatively benign (with little to no side effects), and - up until fairly recently - used to cost pennies on the dollar.  What’s more, some anthelminthics, at one time, were available over the counter (OTC) or were, at the very least, easily prescribe-able in the United States.  Now, unless you have a physician who will is willing to write for them, the only way to obtain the medicines is through overseas pharmacies like this one or, in some cases, from farm/tractor/veterinary suppliers.  Sadly, any attempt to bring attention to them is cause for being ostracized or suppressed and could cost a pharmacist or physician their license. Why?

And yes, you read that right…The treatment and, in some cases, cure for parasites and other conditions is well-tolerated, can be used solely or in concert with other therapies, is inexpensive, and has the capacity of being highly successful in addressing some of the biggest threats to our health. How does that compare to the regimen you or a loved one has undergone for a disease, such as cancer, or ailment such as seasonal illnesses, that may have, at the very least, improved one’s quality of life or, at best, resolved the concern entirely with anti-parasitics (regardless of the confirmed presence of parasites)?

IS IT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

Does what I’m relaying to you sound like a gimmick? It’s not. I’m not a slimy snake oil salesman and I’m not selling you anything. I am simply bringing to your attention that, in many cases, there could be answers out there - if you’ll just consider them.

Some will see, understand, and proceed to investigate; others will not even take these notions under cautious advisement without a “white coat” validating the prospect and “the science” to back it up. Perhaps Part 7 will help you discern. Regardless of your current position, keep it light, sing the Bug Song, don’t fret about parasites, and head over to Part 5 of What’s Bugging You - The Action Plan which will include an extensive list of anti-parasitics and much more!

Don’t worry, “bee” happy!
